UR

synopsis

An allegory for sustainable economy.

The stories of a farming family living by the Urumea river inspired us to begin this creative journey. Their accounts moved us, brought us joy, fascinated and angered us. But above all, they made us think.

Building oneself by building a home. The home, our second body.

The work of the human chain: covering the river, drilling the mountain, cutting the summit; building railways, truck depots, incinerators, airports… The home that was built has been torn down.

A painful awakening process: learning the body, discovering pain… Rebuilding oneself by rebuilding the home.
